Snowshoeing Up a Mountain

Just a quick trip to the mountains! My friend from high school owns a house in Silverthorne, which is about an hour away from our hometown. Since we are home for winter break, a couple of us decided to stay at her mountain getaway for a night and snowshoe among the peaks atop Loveland Pass.

We grabbed a quick lunch before driving up to the continental divide and summiting Mount Sniktau Peak. It was about a 3 mile climb with an elevation gain of roughly 1000 ft.

It was a very short trip but fun, nonetheless.
